We are a "keep-it-all" personal crowdfunding platform. Thus if you don't reach your fundraising target, you still keep all the funds raised (minus the lowest fees).
In addition, unless you request for funds throughout the fundraising campaign, you have access to the funds raised at the end of the campaign.

You can raise money for your medical and nonmedical out-of-pocket expenses including treatment, hospitalization, transporation, accommodation during treatment, bucket list, income due to job loss.

You can create a fundraiser with a deadline and receive your funds once the campaign is over, unless you request for your funds during the fundraising campaign.

When telling your story:
- Introduce yourself
- How you found out of your diagnosis
- What and how the funds you raise will be used
- What it will mean to you to have a successful campaign

We charge 4.50% fee on successful funds raised (2.50% of which is a payment processing fee*). Our fee is the lowest across all the crowdfunding platforms.
All fees are automatically deducted when you receive a donation - you don't have to do anything and you won't get any bills from us.
Charging a platform fee of 2% enables us to provide the support you need, as well as keep our platform running smoothly while paying the wonderful team behind the scenes working tirelessly daily
*Flutterwave charges an average of 2.50% per successful per transaction.

We pay for the infrastructure that powers GoFundHealth as well as the wonderful people behind the scenes who are committed to seeing you succeed in your fundraising campaigns.
Some personal crowdfunding platforms say they are "100% Free", yet they expect donors to pay at least 7.5% per donation. We find this annoying because it adds an unnecessary friction for the donor.
You will receive all funds raised through donations at most 7 days after your campaign deadline. However, you can request for how frequent you want to receive your funds throughout the fundraising campaign.
It's important to note that, a standard verfication is required before withdrawing your funds.
Please note: Some countries with payment restrictions may be subject to longer clearing period before being eligible to withdraw funds. In such cases, we will advise you during your fundraising campaign.
The first step to running a successful fundraising campaign is to tell your story in all honesty and sincerity. Your description should explain why you are raising the funds and how you intend to use the amount raised.
Once you are certain of your fundraising campaign message, you need to start promoting your page.
The following key tips should help you get up and running. Choose the ones you are comfortable doing.
- Speak to or send a personal message to your close frieds and family informing them about your campaign and encourage them to be your first group of donors. This will be help you gain some momentum.
- Ask your friends and family to share your campaign in their network to reach more prospective donors
- Share your campaign on your own social media network and ask existing donors to do same. We suggest you share your campaign via social media networks at most twice or thrice per week.
- If you have website or blog, Facebook, Instagram or Linkedin page, use it tell your audience about your campaign.
- Reach out to relevant online communities that may be interested in your fundraising campaign.
- Take your campaign offline and host a fundraising event to announce your diagnosis.
- Contact your local newspaper, radio and/or TV stations to tell them about your fundraiser and why it's worth their attention.
We regularly highlight campaigns that tell compelling stories on our Facebook and Twitter.
We assess which fundraisers to features on a regular basis. However, if you'd like to give us a head-ups, get in touch. Please note that being featured does not automatically result in additional donations from strangers.
You will be able to receive additional donations until your campaign expires.
You can edit your fundraiser once it is live by logging into our platform and going to your dashboard. You will see your fundraiser with an 'edit' link besides it.
All payment and withdrawal are handled by Flutterwave, which is a trusted global payment provider we use.
Absolutly not! You are not charged any fees for donating to a fundraiser.
